We’re thrilled to roll out new testnet tasks that bring the Solar Nation avatars to life. These tasks not only offer you a first look at the upcoming Solar Nation mint, but also offer exciting opportunities to interact, create, and be rewarded for your participation.
What’s New in This Testnet Task?
This testnet phase focuses on giving you a sneak peek of the Solar Nation avatar collection. As part of these new tasks, you’ll get to generate a unique avatar, providing an early glimpse into what the full collection will offer. Before you dive into creating avatars, there’s an onboarding process to get you set up and ready to go:
1. Connect Your Wallet (EVM)
Make sure your wallet is compatible with the EVM. You’ll need to connect your wallet to interact with the Photon Aurora Testnet.
2. Connect Your X (formerly Twitter) Account
Link your X account for verification and to ensure you’re eligible to participate.
3. Add the Photon Aurora Testnet
Next, you’ll need to add the Photon Aurora Testnet to your wallet. Here are the details:
- Chain ID: 55551
- Native Token: PTON
- RPC URL: https://rpc-test2.photonchain.io
- Block Explorer URL: https://testnet2.photonchain.io
4. Claim PTON Faucet
To start generating your Solar Nation avatars, you’ll need testnet PTON tokens. Use the faucet to claim 10 PTON testnet tokens per request (limit: 1 request every 24 hours).
Once you’ve completed these onboarding steps, you’re ready to dive into the testnet tasks and begin creating your Solar Nation avatar!
Here’s what you can do once you’re onboarded:
Generate Your Solar Nation Avatar
You’ll start by generating a limited version of a Solar Nation avatar. Your first avatar generation is free, giving you the opportunity to explore and create your character. Want more? You can regenerate your avatar for a cost of just 1 testnet $PTON. Each version offers new combinations, but since this is a sneak peek, only a selection of layers will be available.
Mint Your Avatar
Once you’ve created an avatar you're satisfied with, you can mint it as a unique testnet-only avatar. This avatar will be your personalized digital identity for this testnet phase. Keep in mind, once your avatar is minted, it can’t be regenerated, so make sure you’re happy with the final design before minting. It’s a fun and engaging way to explore the creativity of the Solar Nation, and it allows you to contribute to the ongoing development of Photon Labs' ecosystem.
Points, Rewards, and Community Engagement
We want to encourage active participation, so we’ve built in ways to earn points as you engage with the tasks:
- Download your Solar Nation avatar and create your lore. Share it in our Discord and socials to earn points. Your avatar isn’t just a digital image — it comes with a story, and we encourage you to get creative with the lore behind your character.
- Free mint spots and guaranteed whitelist opportunities for the official Solar Nation mint will be available for those who active engagement and contribute. Your effort won’t go unnoticed, and we want to reward genuine participation as we build the future of Solar Nation together.
In addition to the testnet tasks, we have several ongoing community engagement events and initiatives offering even more chances to earn free mints, whitelist spots and other perks:
- XP and Leveling System
- Earn XP automatically by engaging with the community, assisting new members, and staying active. XP points will be converted into roles via bots like MEE6, with a leaderboard to track and reward top contributors.
- Roles
- Gain specific roles such as voyager, pioneer, and contributor based on your activity and achievements. These roles unlock exclusive channels, content, and even airdrop allocations.
- Community-Owned Events
- Participate in regular AMA sessions, quizzes, and games. AMA hosts receive free mint spots, while attendees can earn sPTON and random guaranteed whitelist spots.
- Take part in community contests like art and meme creation, with prizes such as free mints, guaranteed whitelist spots, and sPTON.
- Community Contribution Tasks
- Engage with Photon Labs on social media via the engage bot. Earn XP points, which will be converted into sPTON at a later stage.
- Ambassadorship Program
- Our active ambassadors, who help spread Photon’s vision, are rewarded with free mint whitelist spots and token allocations. Stay involved, and you could be next!
